Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets need to start showing up to play, in order to defeat the Cavaliers. The Nets schedule has not been particularly challenging as of yet, but they will need to have a good game if they are to beat Cleveland. On Monday, the Nets blew a 22 point lead against Minnesota and ended up losing the game. They almost messed up a lead against Orlando as well on Sunday. Luckily for the Nets they still have one of the best point guards in the league with Deron Williams, but on the same not Cleveland has a potential star in Kyrie Irving.
The Cavaliers have not had much success as of late either. Losing their past three games, the team is put in a must-win situation. They are close to the bottom of the league in bench scoring with an average of 26.6 points. However, the team still has Daniel Gibson, who has picked up much of the slack for the Cleveland bench. He averages 9.7 points when coming off the bench.
Currently, many of the best online betting sites have the Nets listed as the favorites by 5.5 points. Whether or not these odds will stay the same closer to game time is uncertain. The Nets are coming off of a win, while the Cavaliers are coming in with a loss. It should be a close game, perhaps even closer than five points so keep the spread in mind when placing your bet.
Toronto Raptors vs. Indiana Pacers
At the beginning of the season, these two teams opened their seasons against each other, and the result was an Indiana win in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter. The Pacers are looking to extend their home winning streak to eight games, while the Raptors are hoping to get a win sometime this month.
Indiana who is currently 3-4, could possibly win their fourth game in a row vs. Toronto. Pacer star, Paul George is on a roll after his last game against Washington when he scored a season-high 20 points to help the Pacers win the game. However, luckily for the Raptors, George has not been able to repeat the 20 point game during his career. He will either break the cycle tonight, or continue his trend of mediocrity post 20 point game against Toronto.
Toronto, as per usual, is not having a great season thus far. Leading scorer DeMar DeRozan head the raptors averaging 20.7 points per game. Along with DeRozan, Jose Calderon had a great game last night against the Jazz scoring 20 points of his own. Toronto needs to find a rhythm early and hold back the Pacers if they hope to win tonight.
As of right now online sports books have the Pacers as the favorite by nine points. This seems like a big point spread considering how close their games have been in the past. If you feel confident in your betting abilities, expect the score to be a little closer than nine points. It is games like these that make sports betting very exciting, so make sure to place your bets early in order to get the best odds.
