Milwaukee had their three game winning streak snapped Tuesday night in Orlando in an ugly low scoring affair 78-72. Now they travel to Miami a bit weary for the second game of a back to back against a team they haven’t beaten once this season in three tries. In their game against Orlando I saw a stat that I have never seen before. Not a single member of the Bucks starting lineup scored double digit points (all played at least 27 minutes). That has to be some kind of record but more importantly if you are expecting Drew Gooden to win games for you than you are in really bad shape, especially when facing one of the better teams in the league. Still Milwaukee is a tough defensive team that can irritate the Heat who like to play with flow.
The Miami Heat return home after what might have been the easiest road trip in NBA history with visits to Cleveland (loss) and Washington, Minnesota and New Jersey (all wins). Now that the Cleveland-pre game announcement things has died down this team is getting set for the playoffs, trying to push Boston down a seed to secure home court for a potential playoff matchup. The problem is it is hard to tell what really motivates this Heat squad and whether they will be able to focused on a late season game against a team like Milwaukee who they have beaten three times already. Milwaukee absolutely needs this one to keep a very slim playoff hope alive while it is immaterial for the Heat, making them a dangerous team to back.
