Who are the Hottest Road Teams in the MLB?

Baseball Betting – Who’s the Hottest MLB’s  Road Team

Home field advantage in the MLB this season has been more important than ever for Baseball bettors. Not all teams have struggled away from home though. Check out SportsbookBuzz.com list of teams that are on a roll in June on the road now.

(Rank) (Team) (SU Road Record, $$$) (SU Road Record in L/5, $$$)

1: Colorado Rockies (17-18, +$401) (5-0, +$653 in L/5) Since firing manager Clint Hurdle, the Rockies have been playing tremendous baseball. They haven’t just laid down for any team on the schedule, including what had been the red hot Cardinals. The boys in black and purple swept the Redbirds in St. Louis over the weekend, and have followed that up by starting off well at Miller Park. The only bad news for Colorado is that there is no way that it is going to make the playoffs. However, it must be nice to know that SP Jason Marquis leads the NL in wins this year (8), and that it should be able to make a mint for trading him at the deadline. Perhaps the other bad news is that the Rocks have to head home in two days…

2: Chicago White Sox (12-15, +$31) (4-1, +$451 in L/5) It’s pretty iffy whether the White Sox really belong on any list of “Who’s Hot” right now, as the team has dropped seven of its L/9, but technically, it’s still a hot team on the road even though it hasn’t played a game away from US Cellular Field all month. To close out the month of May, the Palehose swept a three-game set in Kansas City and took two out of three in Anaheim, which is why they remain on this list. Even though they beat both Zack Greinke and Joe Saunders on that trip, they’ve been awful since coming home, as fellow southpaws, Mark Buehrle and John Danks are a combined 0-3 and have been outscored 20-6 in their three games.

3: Oakland Athletics (11-17, -$245) (4-1, +$444 in L/5) One of the teams that has taken advantage of the struggles of the White Sox has been Oakland. The A’s outscored the Sox 17-3 in the final three games of their four-game set to kick off the month of June, which started a season-high seven game winning streak for the boys in yellow and green. No, the Athletics aren’t running down anyone in the AL West any time in the near future, but they’re a nice story to start the month of June while they last. Eventually, reality is bound to set in. Maybe losing 10-5 to the Twinkies last night is the start of Oakland’s decline back to the squad that has struggled for the mass majority of the season. After all, the four road wins in its L/5 games took its win total from seven up to eleven on the road this year.

And the rest…

4: Detroit Tigers (15-15, +$137) (4-1, +$360 in L/5)
5: Boston Red Sox (15-16, -$286) (4-1, +$321 in L/5)
