The Toronto Blue Jays will look to even the score tonight in Game 2 of their three-game interleague series with the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field. Game time is set for 7:10 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast on MLB TV.

Toronto had no answer for Tim Hudson last night as it fell to the Braves 2-0 as a 110 road underdog in Game 1 of this series. The loss pushed the Blue Jays one game below .500 to 36-37 and 8.5 games behind Boston in the AL East. They are 17-18 at home and 19-19 on the road.
This team is ranked fourth in the American League in scoring with 338 runs, but has only managed one run in its last two games and has not scored more than four runs in its last six. Tonight will be Zach Stewart’s will be second Major League start after turning in a solid performance in last Thursday’s debut against Baltimore. He gave up seven hits and just two earned runs in seven innings of work, but did not get the decision.
Monday’s victory was Atlanta’s second in a row after a 4-2 win over Texas on Sunday as a 101 home underdog. It has now won nine of its last 14 to move within 4.5 games of Philadelphia in the NL East. The Braves are 41-33 overall this season; 21-16 on the road and 20-17 at home.
The good news for Atlanta is that Chipper Jones is expected to be back in the lineup after missing the past four games with a leg injury. The bad news is that the Braves are ranked 11th in the NL in scoring; averaging 3.85 runs per game. Mike Minor will be on the mound for Atlanta tonight. He is 0-2 this season with an ERA of 5.47 and has failed to pitch more than six innings in any of his previous five starts.
The odds makers have the Atlanta Braves as a -1.5 point favorite with an run total of 8.
Prediction: Toronto is 21-21 as an underdog this season, while Atlanta is 29-27 as a favorite. Before last night’s game, these two last met in 2009 with the Braves coming away with a three-game sweep at home. This time around, stick with the Blue Jays to find some offense to snap this four game losing streak to the Braves.
