#19 Stanford @ Notre Dame – 3:30 PM ET on NBC

No. 19 Stanford (3-0) beat Notre Dame 45-38 in 2009 at home, but has not won in South Bend in 18 years. The Cardinal has played amazing and as a result leads the PAC-10 after a 35-0 blowout of UCLA two weeks ago. Not only have they won games, but they’re winning big, piling up mass amounts of yardage and outscoring their opponents 155-31. The Irish (1-2) on the other hand, have faltered after their win in Week 1, dropping back-to-back games, despite the ongoing heroic efforts of QB Dayne Crist. You can fault the defensive lapses and miscues for the Irish’s demise. Meanwhile, the Stanford defense has been solid holding foes to a meager 8.5 points per game while shutting down their opponents passing attack and stuffing the run.
