Although the Lakers are not necessarily known for defense the Hawks shot over 54% for the game and 7 different players reached double figures. Atlanta may wish they had bottled some of their good fortune as they have had next to none against the Cavs. Including the playoffs they have won only 1 of their last 10 against LeBron James and Co. At this point in the season both teams are pretty secure in their playoff positions. The Hawks should still give a max effort to try and show that they can beat the favourite in the East should they meet again in the playoffs.
Cleveland Cavaliers: The Cavaliers are enjoying a fantastic season and are looking to finish healthy and strong for the playoffs. They were pushed at home on Wednesday by upstart Milwaukee and should be again by the Hawks despite their dominance over them of late. You can see by the ATS record that despite Cleveland’s season long success they have not been a great team to follow. They have only covered in four of their last 10 and with Atlanta entering this game with something to prove I anticipate a close contest. Lucky for Cleveland and unlucky for Atlanta, the Cavs have the NBA’s best closer in LeBron James.

Game prediction: Atlanta really wants to prove they are elite and it was a big win against the Lakers but can they follow that up with an even bigger statement against the Cavs? They seem bound for a let down and now have to hit the road against Cleveland, a team that has owned them. This doesn’t sound like a good combination for the Hawks but this game will be close.
