2009-2010 Middle Tennessee Season Preview
With 93 percent of their scoring back, the Blue Raiders sought their first NCAA appearance in 20 years. But after center Theryn Hudson (foot) went down seven games in, forward Desmond Yates had to play out of position. The preseason conference Player of the Year fouled out eight times, including with two minutes left in an 88-79 conference quarterfinal loss to North Texas. Although Kevin Kanaskie finished as the school’s all-time leader in assists, starts and games, the seniordominated backcourt was shaky down the stretch.
