2009-2010 Denver Season Preview
The Pioneers finally snapped their three-year (and 43-game) road losing streak – the nation’s longest – won a home conference tournament game and took host UALR to the wire in a 58-55 loss in the quarterfinals. After having a Top-25 scoring defense for the second consecutive year and the nation’s 18th-best field-goal percentage (.479), Denver returns everyone. Moreover, lone senior and first-team selection Nate Rohnert (only conference player to rank in the Top 15 for points, rebounds and assists), Rob Lewis (career high 27 points on 10-for-11 shooting in quarterfinals), Kyle Lewis and Brian Stafford started every game last year. In the Princeton offense, Andrew Hooper led the conference in 3-point percentage.
