2009-2010 UNC Greensboro Season Preview
The Spartans faced a major rebuilding situation last season as 11 different players logged starts and eight of those started at least 10 times. UNCG was outscored by nearly 11 points per game while shooting only 39.8 percent from the floor, last in the league. Coach Mike Dement returns leading scorer Mikko Koivisto and leading rebounder Ben Stywall. The big loss is Damian Eargle, a rising star in the SoCon who started 20 of 28 games as a freshman and averaged 11.6 points in league play. He also lead the conference in blocks. Eargle left the university in the spring, citing family reasons.
