The Los Angeles Clippers, the fourth-place team in the Western Conference’s Pacific Division, travel to play the Portland Trailblazers, the fourth-place team in the Western Conference’s Northwest Division at the Rose Garden.
Portland leads the season series 2-0.
Is there a more exciting player to watch in the NBA right now the Los Angeles Clippers big man Blake Griffin? And, I kind of can’t believe I’m saying this … but is there a funner team to watch right now? The Clippers have won 11 of 15 and are rolling unlike anybody else in the NBA right now. Griffin followed up his career-high 47 points on Monday by outdueling Minnesota’s Kevin Love on Wednesday for another win. Griffin and Eric Gordon are one of the most exciting guard-post combinations to come down the pipeline in awhile. Yes, we’re talking about the Clippers.
Portland does not have Brandon Roy. Not now, not for the foreseeable future. His knee problems ended up being a whole lot worse than anybody could have imagined and without him the Trailblazers are having to revamp their entire approach. LaMarcus Aldridge is their next-best option, but he’s been wildly inconsistent his whole career. Throw in that they’re without the services of veteran post player Marcus Campy (knee), and Portland could have a rough time of it from here on out. Not even playing at home matters in a situation like this.
The odds makers have the Blazers as a -3.5 point favorites with an over/under of 194.5.

The Clippers are hot, hot, hot. Griffin is unstoppable, and gets another tough challenge with Aldridge. Look for him to want to exert his dominance over a conference rival. The Blazers are looking for anything as a solution. It’s no there.
Look for Griffin to put on a show and the Clippers win by 10.
