AFC Top 3 Matchups- Week 14
Week 14 will be do or die for a couple of teams in the AFC as another loss will pretty much end their hopes for landing a spot in the postseason. A few other teams in the conference also desperately need a win just to get the bad taste of losing out of their mouth.
Here is a look at my top three matchups in the AFC for Week 14 of the NFL season. All odds are provided by BetUs.com.

Kansas City @ San Diego (-7) Over/Under: 46 ½
The 8-4 Chiefs have a golden opportunity to take a giant step towards locking up the AFC West with a win in this game. Kansas City has become a very balanced team as the season has progressed and currently has the sixth ranked offense in the league and the 16th ranked defense.
Philip Rivers and the 6-6 Chargers may be running out of bullets as it looks like both TE Antonio Gates and RB Darren Sproles may miss this game due to injuries. Even if they do manage to play, it could be a matter of too little, too late for a team that has made a living off of dramatic late-season comebacks over the past few seasons.
Kansas City is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games as an underdog and 4-1 ATS in its last five games as a road underdog. The total has gone ‘over’ in the Chiefs last four road games. San Diego is 4-1 ATS in its last five games overall and the total has ‘over’ in seven of the Chargers last 10 games in December. The Chiefs put the Chargers out of their misery with their ninth win of the season.
Miami @ New York Jets (-5 ½) Over/Under: 41
The Dolphins 13-10 loss to Cleveland last week not only dropped them to 6-6 on the year, but most likely took them out of the playoff race altogether. Miami has not been able to win back-to-back games since the first two weeks of the season.
The Jets will need the first few days to work on removing their foot from their mouth after getting destroyed by New England 45-3 on Monday night. Rex Ryan’s bunch is 9-3 but only has one win over a team with a winning record, which just so happened to be the Patriots in Week 2.
Baltimore (-3) @ Houston Over/Under: 45 ½
The Ravens suddenly find themselves in a must-win situation after losing a 13-10 slugfest with Pittsburgh last week. They are 8-4 and still very much in control of their playoff destiny, but facing the wildcard route with another loss.
The Texans’ defense continues to be a major liability for this team’s chances to take the next step. Houston is 5-7 and fading fast after dropping five out of its last six games while giving up an average of 30.8 points in those five losses.
Baltimore is 6-2 STS in its last eight games following an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in its last five Monday night games. Houston is 1-4 ATS in its last five home games and 2-6 ATS in its last eight games overall. The total has gone ‘over’ in seven of the Texans last 10 games against the AFC. The Ravens win this one going away to keep pace with the Steelers.
