2010-2011 Tennessee State Season Preview

John Cooper got the Tigers into the conference tournament in his first season at Tennessee State, only to lose to Murray State in the first round. This season, Cooper hopes to build around sophomores Robert Covington and Jacquan Nobles to continue the turnaround in Nashville. Cooper only has seven players returning, and newcomers will be expected to contribute right away. Key last year was a late-season run in which Tennessee State won five of its last six conference games, a streak that came after Cooper was working with just nine players after booting off four for violations of team rules.
